Learn this fabulous technique. Entrelac knitting is a modular technique that creates a textured, diamond-patterned fabric resembling woven basketweave. It is worked by creating interlocking squares and triangles, typically using short rows and picking up stitches along the edges of previous sections, allowing for striking, multi-colored geometric designs. Plus bring your own projects to work on + a new design in your goodie bag; knit, eat, chat, knit and crochet some more.

EVENT: Knit one of Georgia Farrell's wonderful designs
Host Georgia Farrell - for one or two day workshop (TBC)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Georgia Farrell is a British designer, with a passion for creating architecturally-inspired design for hand knitting and beyond. Georgia combines a methodical approach to visual research with a more organic approach to creative exploration, and she loves to share the stories and concepts behind each of her designs.
'Knitted Collage' this is a very accessible creative class with the added knitting content of intarsia and combining intarsia with texture. Using architectural images as inspiration, we will get creative with coloured paper and pencils to create graphic collages that we will then translate into chart form, ready to make your own unique knitted collage from. We will cover how to translate basic blocks of colour and texture from your collages, into a knitting chart, the basics of intarsia, and how to combine colour and texture to add depth to your design. This class will give you a real insight into how I created many of the designs from my collection 'Abstract'.

The fab Sarah of Purlescence will be hosting a workshop session on colour, + bring your own projects to work on + a new design in your goodie bag(curated by Sarah); knit, eat, chat, knit and crochet some more. Sarah will also bring some of her very special yarn - a sort of trunk show - for you to squidge and buy.
Purlescence began over 10 years ago and we have worked hard to build a reputation for not only stocking a wide range of products but also delivering a very personal service to our customers. Like any good husband and wife team, we take care of different aspects of the business: Jonathan (AKA Mission Control!) looks after the operations side and ensures orders get to you quickly and is always on hand to offer advice on any crafting queries.
Sarah (AKA Artistic Development) holds the artistic reins and having grown up with her Gran owning a knitting shop, loves nothing more than to peruse over yarn, patterns and anything colourful.
